Restaurant & Bar Reviews
*Seriously a must for Indian food in Fresno. I live in the bay area where this delicacy is prevalent, so I have experienced many variations of style and preparation. I have also been to other Indian Restaurants in Fresno, but for the price, quantity, and flavor, this place tops them all. Do not be put off by the lack of patronage on any given day, this is one of Fresno's best kept secrets. I only want to encourage anyone seeking great Indian food in the Fresno area to support Indian's Oven.
*This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Fresno. Prices are very reasonable especially considering the huge amount of food you get, staff is always polite, restaurant is clean and quiet, and quality of food is outstanding. My favorite meal is the Navaratan Korma, rice, garlic naan, and a hot Indian spiced tea. I've been to many other Indian restaurants in Fresno and this by far the best and friendliest.
*What a surprise this was. Spoiled by all the good food in the Bay Area, I came into Fresno with low expectations. When I saw a Hungry Howie's pizza, they dropped even more. On top of all that, I was a little alarmed that we were the only table eating here at 8:30 pm on Saturday night. This was some of the best Indian food I've had anywhere. It was also the cheapest. I couldn't believe that we got 2 entrees, garlic naan and rice for $14.90 with tax. I highly recommend this place. One star off for forgetting our veggie samosas. No problem though, there was plenty of food to feed my girlfriend and I for lunch the next day. For this area, this place can't be beat for the taste, the portions and the price.
*Always on the search for delicious Indian food, I stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. The place was completely empty, which isn't always a good sign, but we decided to forge ahead. Feeling hungry, my friend and I ordered vegetable samosas, garlic naan, chicken vindaloo (we wanted lamb, but they were out), chicken tikka masala, and an eggplant dish that (I think) was labeled bengat bharta. With the first bite of the samosas, we each smiled, and the rest of the meal didn't let us down. The samosas were dusted in a tasty seasoning that we found ourselves wiping off the plate with the deep-friend dough. Both meat dishes were good, though the chicken tikka masala was a bit dry on the exterior. Still, it was a minor blemish on a tasty meal. It didn't seem like a lot of food, but we both walked out stuffed and with leftovers. I intend to visit again.

*Very attentive host/waiter during the lunch buffet last Wednesday. Explained all the food, answered questions, heated up some delicious dumplings for us for dessert too! The food was excellent, the best Indian food we've found locally and friendly service too.
